Participants will learn about the different types of radiation hazards, the role of X-ray transmission, and how to optimise time, distance, and shielding to minimise exposure. They will also become familiar with protective clothing options and patient protection in radiography. The course covers safety guidelines for intra-oral radiography, hand-held X-ray equipment, and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in dental radiography. By completing this course, participants will have a thorough understanding of radiation safety and be able to apply the necessary safety measures to protect themselves and their patients.
