This Level 1 Safeguarding course is designed for dental professionals and covers various topics related to safeguarding vulnerable children and adults. It includes an introduction to safeguarding, understanding legal frameworks, identifying abuse and neglect, recognising signs and impacts on oral health, and protecting against various forms of abuse such as emotional, sexual, financial, and material abuse, as well as modern slavery and radicalisation. Upon completion of the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills to identify and report potential abuse, and understand the long-term effects of abuse on victims.
