This Level 1 Safeguarding course aims to educate dental professionals on safeguarding practices in dentistry, including relevant legislation and guidance, statutory duty of care, safeguarding measures in the induction program, and a comprehensive toolkit for dental teams. By completing this course, participants will understand the responsibilities of the dental team, actions for practice managers and owners, and the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). They will also learn how to recognise, respond, report, and record safeguarding concerns for vulnerable patients and ensure effective and secure information sharing.
