- Understanding microorganisms on our hands, transient and resident flora, and common pathogens in healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs)
- Hand hygiene requirements, including HTM 01-05 and what not to wear
- When to perform hand hygiene and handwashing techniques using soap and water or alcohol
By completing the course, dental professionals will be able to:
- Understand the importance of hand hygiene in healthcare and prevent cross-infection
- Identify and manage microorganisms on hands, including transient and resident flora, and common pathogens in HCAIs
- Implement hand hygiene requirements, including HTM 01-05 and appropriate attire
